Our team will pick you up directly from your hotel or accommodation located in downtown Cusco to begin our journey.
Official departure from Cusco city and transfer by tourist bus heading towards the Cusipata district.
Arrival at the community of Chirihuani (Cusipata). We will enjoy an essential energizing breakfast to prepare for the trek and have a brief break.
Arrival at the base point where the trek begins. We will take some time to receive safety instructions and a briefing about the route from our guide.
Start of the trekking from Phulawasipata. The uphill hike takes approximately 2 hours at a moderate pace adapted to the altitude.
We reached the summit! Contemplate the breathtaking views of the surrounding red mountains, Andean valleys, and the imposing Ausangate glacier peak. The guide will explain the mineralogical composition of its vibrant colors.
After enjoying the scenery and taking souvenir photos, we will begin our 1.5-hour downhill hike back to Phulawasipata.
Approximately 1 hour will be provided at a local rustic restaurant to enjoy lunch and recover your energy before the return trip.
We will board our tourist transport back to Cusco, arriving downtown between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM approximately.
Please wait in your hotel lobby within the designated time frame. If your accommodation is in a difficult-to-access area or outside the central circuit, we will coordinate a strategic meeting point in advance.

Rainbow Mountain sits at approximately 5,036 meters (16,522 feet) above sea level. It’s important to be well-acclimatized before doing the tour.
The hike is moderately challenging due to the high altitude. The trail is around 3 km uphill and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete, depending on your pace.
It’s not recommended for people with respiratory issues, heart conditions, or limited mobility. However, horses are available for rent on-site if needed.
The best season is from April to October during the dry months. From November to March, rain is more frequent and may affect visibility and trail conditions.
