DAY 1: Sacred Valley + Buffet Lunch

07:30 / 08:00 am – Pickup from your hotel. The Sacred Valley tour begins.
Taray Viewpoint
08:20 am – Stop at the scenic viewpoint of Taray.
Pisac Archaeological Site
09:30 am – Guided visit to the impressive ruins of Pisac.
Buffet Lunch
12:00 pm – Buffet lunch in the town of Urubamba.
Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site
2:00 pm – Guided visit to Ollantaytambo ruins.
Train to Aguas Calientes
Between 5:00 / 7:00 pm – Board the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town).
Bus to Machu Picchu
07:50 am – Board the bus for a 30-minute ride up a winding road to Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas.”
Guided Tour of Machu Picchu
09:00 am – Explore the citadel with your guide: Main Square, Temple of the Sun, Royal Quarters, Temple of the Three Windows. Approx. 2.5 hours.
Free Time at Machu Picchu
11:30 am – Free time to explore, walk, and take photos.
Return to Aguas Calientes
1:00 pm – Recommended time to take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes.
Free Time in Aguas Calientes
2:45 pm – Time for lunch, visiting the town, hot springs, or shopping at the local market.
Arrival at Train Station
5:50 pm – Be at the train station at this time.
Train Departure to Ollantaytambo
6:20 pm – Departure of the train to Ollantaytambo.
Arrival in Ollantaytambo
8:05 / 8:20 pm – Arrival at Ollantaytambo train station. You’ll continue by bus back to Cusco.
Arrival in Cusco
10:30 pm – Arrival in Cusco city.
