Arrival & Guided Exploration of the Sillustani Archaeological Site

Set on an imposing peninsula surrounded by the mystical Umayo Lagoon. We will begin a comprehensive guided tour of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, exploring:

  • The Chullpas: Impressive stone funerary towers standing up to 12 meters (39 feet) high, masterfully built by the Pre-Inca Kolla, Lupaca, and later Inca civilizations.
  • Ancestral Rituals: Learn about ancient burial customs, spiritual beliefs, and the deep symbolism behind these architectural "Houses of the Dead".
  • Scenery & Free Time: Take in the breathtaking views of Lake Umayo and its unique high-Andean ecosystem. You will have plenty of free time to walk around, capture amazing photographs, and absorb the serene energy of the site.
