What Is the Cusco Tourist Ticket?

The Cusco Tourist Ticket, also known as the BTC or BTG Cusco, grants you access to up to 16 major tourist attractions located in and around the Inca city of Cusco – Peru.
This admission ticket is managed by the Comité de Servicios Integrados Turístico Culturales de Cusco (COSITUC).

The number of sites you can visit depends on the type of ticket you purchase.
The General Tourist Ticket includes all sites listed above, while Partial Tickets include only certain ones based on specific circuits.

Most Popular Option: General Tourist Ticket (BTCI)

Also called the Full Tourist Ticket, this is the most comprehensive option, allowing access to all 16 sites.
It’s valid for 10 calendar days and is available for different categories of travelers:

For Foreign Tourists:

  • BTCI – General ticket for foreign adults (valid with passport or national ID)

  • BEE – Student ticket for foreigners under 25 with a valid student ID or ISIC Card

For Peruvian Nationals:

  • BIN – General ticket for Peruvian adults (requires DNI)

  • BEN – Student ticket for Peruvians (must present student ID and DNI)

Partial Tourist Ticket

Valid for 1 or 2 days, partial tickets offer access to select tourist circuits.
Note: They are not valid for students or minors and do not offer student discounts.

There are 3 types of partial tickets:

Circuit I: Sacsayhuamán

  • Includes: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Puca Pucara

Circuit II: City + South Valley

  • Includes: Regional Historical Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Qoricancha Site Museum, Pachacutec Monument, Tipón, and Piquillacta

Circuit III: Sacred Valley

  • Includes: Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, and Moray

Where to Buy the Cusco Tourist Ticket?

You can purchase the ticket at the following locations:

  • Main Office: Av. El Sol 103, Galerías Turísticas (Mon–Sun, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm)

  • Tourist Info Office – DIRCETUR: Calle Mantas (Mon–Sat, 8:00 am–12:00 pm / 2:00 pm–6:00 pm)

  • At the entrance of most included sites (except for the Contemporary Art Museum and Pachacutec Monument)

Attractions NOT Included in the BTC

Some popular attractions are NOT included in the BTC and must be purchased separately:

  • Cusco Cathedral: 25 soles (adults), 12.5 soles (children/students)

  • Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun): 15 soles

  • Salineras de Maras (Salt Mines): 15 soles

  • Andahuaylillas Colonial Church: 15 soles (foreigners), 10 soles (Peruvians)

  • Raqchi Inca Temple: 15 soles

Other Free or Low-Cost Sites Around Cusco

You can also visit many beautiful and cultural spots without the Tourist Ticket, including:

  • San Cristóbal and Cristo Blanco viewpoints – offering panoramic views of Cusco

  • Twelve-Angled Stone – just steps from the Plaza de Armas

  • San Pedro Market – for local food and crafts

  • Main plazas and historic streets

  • Temple of the Moon – near Sacsayhuamán

Tips & Recommendations

  • The Tourist Ticket is not available online. You must buy it in person at authorized locations.

  • The BTC only includes entry – not transportation or tour guides.

  • Children under 9 enter for free. Minors aged 10–17 can get a student discount.

  • Members of the Andean Community (CAN) do not receive discounts.

  • The ticket is never sold out – you can buy it on the day of your visit.

  • If you’re planning to visit Machu Picchu, we recommend buying your ticket and train ticket in advance.
