Tour Itinerary
Departure from Cusco.
The tour begins very early, between 4:20 and 5:00 a.m., with hotel pick-up. From there, we head south of Cusco in private tourist transport.
Arrival at Layo District.
After about 4 hours of traveling through Andean villages and mountain landscapes, we reach the district of Layo, where we prepare for the hike.
Hike to Pallay Punchu.
The hike takes 2 to 3 hours to reach the mountain viewpoint. During the ascent, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Langui Layo Lagoon and encounter high-Andean flora and fauna such as llamas, alpacas, and vizcachas.
View from the Summit.
At the top, you’ll be rewarded with an impressive panorama: the sharp peaks of Pallay Punchu and its multicolored stripes that look like a poncho stretched over the Andes. A perfect spot for unforgettable photographs.
Return to Cusco.
After some time at the summit and a short rest, we return to Layo and then head back to Cusco, arriving around 7:00 p.m.
