Welcome to the Terms and Conditions of Machupicchu Bus Hidroelectrica. This document outlines the rules, rights, and responsibilities that apply when using our transportation services to Hidroeléctrica, Machu Picchu tours, and general tour packages.
By making a reservation with us, you agree to our Cancellation and Refund Policies, as well as our terms regarding changes, payments, and the use of personal data. We have written this information clearly and transparently to help you make informed decisions and enjoy your travel experience with peace of mind.

Reservations and Payments
At Machupicchu Bus Hidroelectrica, you can make secure reservations through our official website or directly at our offices in Cusco.
- For transportation services to Hidroeléctrica and one-day tours, full payment is required at the time of booking.
- For multi-day tour packages, the reservation is confirmed with a 40% deposit. The remaining balance is paid in person before the tour starts.
Changes and Cancellations
General Changes
Changes are subject to availability and must be requested in advance. Specific conditions of the contracted service apply.
Cancellation and Refund Policies
Traditional One-Day Tours
More than 15 days before the service: 30% penalty for operational costs.
Between 5 and 15 days: 40% penalty.
Between 48 hours and 5 days: 70% penalty.
Less than 24 hours or no-show: no refund.
Cancellation of Packages Including Machu Picchu Entrance and Train Tickets
No refund of the initial deposit is made due to:
Machu Picchu tickets have high demand and limited availability.
Train tickets allow date changes but do not accept cancellations.
Non-refundable operational costs have already been incurred.
Cancellation of Transportation Service and Promotional Fares
Date changes are accepted with 24 hours’ notice.
No-show (NO SHOW) cases have no option for rescheduling.
No refunds or returns for transportation to Hidroeléctrica (promotional fare).
Cancellation of Private Transfers and Cusco Airport Transportation
Date changes are accepted with 24 hours’ notice.
No-show (NO SHOW) cases have no option for rescheduling.
No refund of the initial deposit in case of service cancellation.
Refund for Category Change (Transport Only)
If the contracted transport service is changed to a lower category, a proportional refund will be made. Refunds are processed via the same payment method or PayPal (estimated 45 to 65 business days) or at our offices in Cusco upon prior coordination.
Policy for Natural Disasters, Strikes, or Other Unexpected Events
In cases such as strikes, natural disasters, or blockades:
If your service date is directly affected: a 50% refund will be made.
If not directly affected: general policies apply.
Refund processing may take 45 to 65 business days.
Landslides and Transfers
In case of landslides affecting the route, transfers are arranged in the affected area. These transfers are enabled and provided by local residents. The cost is S/ 10 soles per transfer (per person) and must be fully borne by the passenger.
Travel Insurance
We recommend having travel insurance to cover unforeseen events. Machupicchu Bus Hidroelectrica is not responsible for expenses arising from lack of insurance.

Legal Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Peruvian law. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Cusco, Peru.
